Estoy Nueces

Man, I am glued to this chair this morning. I think I am better about getting up and going about my day once Mark is gone to work. But he's still here so I am still sitting, too. I would like to vacuum the house, clean off my desk, make life slightly more livable, but I'm lazy or stuck or something.

The cool thing that happened in my life yesterday is that I got an invitation to the annual Best of Austin awards next week. I'm getting a Best of Austin! I don't know in what, so I'm just going to keep my hopes tamped down by assuming it is for the station and not for me individually. I will find out on Wednesday night. And Mark may get to go to the party with me because he doesn't have a gig that night.

My gig went well last night. They were just so happy to have me. Everyone was very sweet. I did the intros and reintroed after a quick break. There were only about 150 people there, testament to our advertising when the series is ours, but it was a good show. Lots of people I knew so I had plenty of people to visit with. I left there and went to see Mark's gig for a minute and then tiredness hit me and I went home and took a hot bath.

I worked a LONG time yesterday with the girl that is producing the morning show to help her with her time cues and such. We put things into the computer to help her through the morning. It will help the next person, too, so it isn't time wasted, just MY time filled. Then I had to record my Bull show during my show, which is a drag. THEN, the Bull didn't send a log while I was still at the station so I still haven't started on today's show either. I hate when they do that. And today, again, I have to leave at 7 pm so they probably won't have tomorrow's show until tomorrow. One good thing is that with Cotton gone I have more access to "my" studio between 2 and 3, but it is a drag to record those shows and then go straight to be on the air. I guess it is better than the recording while I'm on the air. That is just too risky.

Okay, okay, the voices inside of my head are insisting I get up and do something. Shit, I meant to do some logs while I was just "sitting" here, too. Get some priorities woman!
