Doctor Time

I'm off to the doctor in a minute. I don't usually go to the doctor immediately when I'm sick, but since I did finally establish a relationship with a doctor here on my side of town last month, and an appointment was available, and I am coughing up sludge the color of school buses, I figured I'd better go. Hope she can make me feel better fast.

I didn't finish my airshift yesterday. I wanted a replacement, but our go-to guy was already filling in for the midday guy. Cotton offered to take over for me, but I hated to make him work a day that long. He called again when I was on the air and I said, "Sure, it is stupid to keep going and make it worse." He took over at 4:30 and I came home and crashed most of the evening.

Mark made it home safely from El Paso and it is nice to have him back for a day or two.

Sad news yesterday for the older man I work with in the morning. His father died. He was old and in the nursing home and very sick and worn out, so it was a blessing, but still a time to grieve. We sat together and cried yesterday and I was glad I was in for him.
