Luxury

Another week has begun and I am still unproductive. The boss is back in town after his trip to Nashville, but he is tired and I doubt he'll be able to do the work we need to do for a few days. I'll wait on him.

My big experience of the weekend was getting to see the play Ride with Bob at the State Theater last night. What an amazing show. It was really done well and the acting and singing and dancing and sets and costumes were tremendous. At the end the band played and three of the former members of the Playboys came up and played and sang, too. Mark loved it because of the music and hearing a band play Bob's music the way it should be heard with horns and fiddles and the works.

After the show we got to go to the cast party. It was the most amazing thing ever! Not the party so much as the location. It was at the home of a bank president and it is right there on Congress. From the outside you would never know that it is a home. It was like out of some fancy Metropolitan Home magazine. It was long and skinny and so ultra chic. Crystal vases with orchids, a wine room with glass walls so you could see in, big granite island in the kitchen, huge bouquets of ginger and other exotic blooms. Upstairs was the master bedroom with a gym just down the hall. The master bath had a huge shower with a wall of water on one side giving the illusion of rain. The gym had a door leading into the hot tub room WITH A FIREPLACE! How cool is that.... AND it opened up to the sky. Get out of the hottub and you could step right into the shower and then right on through to the bedroom.

Up yet another level and you were out on the roof and able to look around the buildings of downtown... from the pool! There was also maybe another apartment up there but it appeared to be under construction. This was one of those glimpses into the life of the rich and famous (mainly rich in this case) that you just can't absorb from seeing it on TV. What an experience!

And I did go see Jack alone Saturday night but it was way too crowded. I almost left before it was over but then I saw his manager and waited because of him. We had a nice visit after. Very very smart and nice guy. Jack still as hot as ever and still as nice. I hope many good things come his way.
